Dingoes still favorites for First Crack title

25 Aug 2018

Jason Taumalolo has put in a subdued performance overnight, yet it could still be enough for the Dingoes to claim the maiden First Crack Grand Final. Villiame Kikau also didn’t play to his potential in a terrible outing from the Panthers against a rejuvenated Warriors outfit. Kikau was suffering from separation issues, as his new wife opted to stay in Melbourne, rather than travel with the Panthers squad to Auckland.

With 2 days of the season remaining, there is an incredible 14 of 15 remaining players on display tonight. Definitely a night for popcorn and fruit tingles.

Both sides have 7 players a piece competing, with 100n80s Lachlan Fitzgibbon the only player needed to complete the round tomorrow against the Cronulla Sharks. Dingoes hold a 140 point lead, having played Captain Jake Trbojevic and 1 extra player. 100n80 will be banking on a high scoring affair between South Sydney and Canberra, a game which has 4 100n80 players and 3 Dingoes.

Dingoes coach Darren Bevan will no doubt be sickened by the prospect of having to cheer for the red, white and bluesters, having the big 3 for Boyd Cordner, Latrell Mitchell and James Tedesco.
