2019 FCFL Finals Series Second Qualifying Final – Papatoetoe Piranhas vs Rosebery Rampage

Piranhas (2) vs Rampage (3)

Nev’s men had the chance to become the first club, to claim back to back minor premierships, but, after a slow start to the season, allowed the Dingoes to get out to a big enough lead that could not be reigned in despite 7 wins on the trot.

That situation as the season played out, saw the Piranhas settle for second place, but not that they will be fussed about it, as their main goal is to successfully claim a maiden premiership they missed out on last year.

Their quest starts against the Rampage, who under rookie coach Jacko have done a magnificent job of staying int the top 3 the entire season.

Many experts predicted a long season for the Rampage, but from the start, they put together a three-game winning streak to begin in the top four, before a late-season form slump that was stemmed by last week’s 861-739 thrashing of the Basic B!tches.

Now, not only do they face the task of tackling grand final runners up, they also do so in a city where they have never won.

However, hoodoos are meant to be broken.

For the winner
A week off and direct passage to the preliminary final.

For the loser
A shot at the winner of the B!tches vs Avengers elimination final, likely to be next Thursday night.

Prediction: Piranhas by 52 points.
