Waiver Watch – Round 3

Wednesday morning saw a flurry of waiver action, with 4 teams involved in some interesting moves.

Grubs released Nathan Peats, (season 42.50ppg, 2 games) out of necessity with the hooker suffering a Pec injury that will likely keep him out for the FCFL regular season. TRADE BUZZ: Dingoes send Bird to Piranhas for Farah

The first trade in FCFL history went down today at 12:00pm.

The Dingoes in desperate search for a hooker after the failed experiment of Victor Radley (36.00ppg) sought out the unused and under utilisedveteran hooker Robbie Farah to solve his woes. Piranhas head coach was at first unwilling to part with the backup dummy half for fear of suffering during the bye/origin rounds but quickly that fear was erased when told there are no games during that period. Cruel head clash ruins down to the wire Grand Final

 

Dazzlers Dingoes have won the First Crack Grand Final after Lachlan Fitzgibbon leaves the field after 24 minutes in the Knights loss to the Cronulla Sharks. A cruel head clash with his own team mate ended 100n80s tilt towards the title, after a few rookie errors from coach Nevan Clarkson cost his side any chance of victory.

Lachlan Fitzgibbon, 100n80s great white hope

Lachlan Fitgibbon, 100n80s late season signing, is all that stands between the Dingoes, and the First Crack Grand Final trophy.

On a drama filled day of action, there has been some heroes and villains on both teams. Nick Cotric was brought into the side at the expense of Jamayne Isaako, when he should have been in for team mate Joey Leilua. Clarkson was asked after the Raiders victory if he felt he could win it, his response was very much what everyone was thinking “well, now we know why he went by BJ…. He sucks”.
